Our mission: To promote the art of horsemanship, while having fun and building friendships, which will assist in creating knowledgeable riders that are sensitive, kind, and competent all-around horsemen.
Fox Ridge Farm is proud to announce that the Fox Ridge Riders Club (FRRC) is now accepting members of all ages and abilities who are active participants in our lesson program. From beginners to advanced riders, from grade school to high school, your child will be challenged, fulfilled and most of all have fun while learning!
This club will focus on horsemanship. We will cover tons of topics that we don't have time for during regular riding lessons from simple things like safe & proper handling to more advanced things like show braiding.
Riders will keep project books and complete assignments to better understand horses, their nature, care and upkeep requirements. Emphasis will be on safety. This club will produce stronger riders as a result of riders becoming knowledgeable in the art of horsemanship.
Riders will be observed not only in club meetings and riding lessons, but whenever they are at the barn. They'll receive points for excellence in their project books, club participation, horsemanship skills, volunteering at the farm, as well as progression in their riding. Points can be earned and collected then applied toward various incentives. Club members will have fun while being challenged to reach new levels.
We'll hold an annual dinner (location to be announced) where riders will be presented with awards for their accomplishments during the year.
Discounts, incentives, & rewards will be offered to club members.
Points will be accumulated by members for things like:
Consistency in riding lessons
Participating in camps
Leasing a horse
Reaching milestones in riding
Participating in shows
Exhibiting great horsemanship skills
Volunteering at the farm
Excellence in project books
and more...
Points can be exchanged for things like:
Barn, grooming, and riding items
Books, toys, and fun things
Club items
Leases on horses
Extra lessons
Discounted showing
Free practice rides
and more...
Membership requirements:
The initial sign up fee of $40 will include a club tee shirt and project book. Meetings are $12, thereafter.
Meetings are mandatory and are generally held once per month, the second Saturday of each month from 12:00-1:30 p.m. For members who have to miss a meeting, the regular meeting fee will still apply. Members will be given any work and materials from the missed meeting at their next scheduled riding lesson.
Joining any club requires a commitment on the part of the member. Please consider this before deciding to join. Members will be responsible for attending meetings, putting in volunteer time at the farm, completing projects, and participating in fund raising for future club activities.
