P.A.L. Program:
Fox Ridge Farm is proudly partnered with the Vernon Police Athletic League (P.A.L.). They sponsor a very popular horseback riding program through our farm which is designed for beginner riders.
Are you a Vernon resident with children in grades K-8 who is interested in exposing your children to the greatest sport of all time?
Are you looking for something a little more rewarding then what is offered in the way of after-school programs?
If so, have we got the thing for you! Affordable, safe, & fun, that's what our horseback riding program through the P.A.L. is all about!
We learn to ride & handle horses safely
Class size is small and limited to ONLY 6 children per class. Spaces are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please sign up early to guarantee a spot for your child!

Each class is 1 hour long, you may drop your child off or stay to watch.
All riding is done in our indoor arena, so bad weather is never a problem.
Helmets are provided by Fox Ridge Farm. Long pants & a boot or shoe with a small heel should be worn.
Along with riding lessons we learn about:
* Safety
* How to lead horses
* How to groom horses
* Feeds & nutrition
* Breeds, colors, & markings
* Care & use of equipment/tack
* Stable management
* What's involved with owning a horse

A Day On The Farm:
Fox Ridge Farm, in conjuction with the Vernon P.A.L, proudly offers a fun, new program.
Children ages 6-14 are invited to come spend a day on a busy, working horse farm.
Not only will we ride horses and learn to steer, stop, walk & trot, we will also play games on horseback, while focusing on safety and skill-building. We also will learn about stable management and how to care for horses while doing some of the following activties: grooming, bathing, exercising, feeding, cleaning, etc...
Things don't end there, we will also play horse-related games, make a horsey art project, and take home a gift.
Details:
Children should come wearing outdoor appropriate clothes, including long pants for riding. Sensible shoes for working around horses are a must (no open toe shoes, no flip flops, no crocs, no sandals). Helmets will be provided. We recommend applying sunscreen before arriving in the morning, as we will be outside most of the day. Chidren should bring a bagged lunch.

Adult Pony Club:
Cussing ~ Cocktails ~ And Fun ~Oh my!
Need something to break up the monotony of the work week? Need a break from the kids? Tired of the same routine day after day?
How does this sound:
You on a beautiful horse the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month.
No work, no kids, no stress, just good people on good horses, having fun, letting their hair down, & cutting loose a little too.
Think it's too good to be true?
Well, it's not. It's right here at Fox Ridge Farm.
Adult Pony Club runs Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 during the summer months. If wanting to join any particular week, please sign up. Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board.
Due to the games we play & number of riders, APC is always held in the outdoor ring. That means the club will meet weather permitting.
Each week we'll start with some helpful hints, then let the games begin!
Don't forget to bring a couple of cocktails for afterward, if you'd like.
Come on out and join the fun!
If anyone needs to use one of the farm's horses, no problem, just let us know.
You must be 18 or over to participate.
You can ride English or Western. The cost is $25/your horse or $35/lesson horse.
Mommy Lessons:
At Fox Ridge Farm we appreciate Mom! We know that in today's day and age, most moms work outside the home, yet continue to take care of the house, meals, shopping, and running the kids around to different activities. We know that Mom leaves little to no time for herself and deserves to have fun too!
We offer discounted lessons to all the moms who have children that ride at Fox Ridge Farm. Mommy lessons are just $25 each (compared to the regular price of $35).
Remember, we offer gift certificates in any amount! Thank Mom for all she does by surprising her with the gift of riding!
